Aside from transcribing music books and writing articles/transcriptions for magazines, Hemme has been actively involved with documenting guitar “video” transcription. He has authored three books based on guitar instruction videos for Musician Institute, transcribed a series for Line 6 software called “guitar licks” and transcribed for YES’ Steve Howe and Beyond Sound. Hemme has also transcribed a few of his favourite guitarists for DCI Video, REH Video, Music Sales Inc., Warner Bros. Publications and Alfred Publishing.
Since 2010 he has been very active as a transcriber with online video instruction companies such as Artistworks.com, Jamplay.com and Truefire.com. The internet has transformed education in the music industry, it’s evolving rapidly and Hemme is participating.
