Global TV "This is BC Interview"
Since 1989, when I began transcribing for a living, I’ve had a few newspaper and magazine interviews. I’ve had a Shaw Express TV interview in 2010, featuring my “Complete Idiot’s Guide to Guitar Exercises” in 2010.
However, recently in Dec. 11 Jay Durant from Global News “This is BC” interviewed me for a 2 minute synopsis of my 37 year career of guitar transcription. Here is that interview.

"The Complete Idiot's Guide to Guitar Exercises"
When I was transcribing for Alfred Publishing in 2009 my editor, Aaron, asked if I was interested in working on a book for Alpha/Penguin Publishing. The folio was to be a competitive script to the Dummies series, “Guitar Exercises for Dummies” that was released a year before. I agreed.
I began writing "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Guitar Exercises" in between other transcription assignments the end of May. But I had to explain to the publishing company that Wanda, my wife, and I had already booked a three week vacation with our mini Schnauzer, Jaz, and would begin when we returned. We labelled the trip our “Cross Continent Excursion”, which was phenomenal! Upon return I began writing and Wanda created all the graphics and layout for the book. She worked on the folio each day after her day time job commitments and on weekends. Extraordinary! It took about 7½ weeks to complete with another week or so added on for recording audio to disc.
Throughout the editing process the Alpha/Penguin editors suggested I secure a few words of “praise” from a few of the artists I had transcribed and worked with in the past. I managed to contact Randy Bachman, Jennifer Batten, Peter Frampton, Steve Howe, Albert Lee, Alex Lifeson, Mike Stern and Mike Mushok, who all agreed to write a few words.
A marketing program began throughout the next several months and the book was released April 2010.
